ABOUT THIS POSITION

As a Drone UI Full-Stack Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining both the backend and frontend components of our applications. You will work closely with our AI specialists, data scientists, and other developers to create robust, scalable, and high-performance solutions. Your expertise in microservices, single-page applications, and testing will be instrumental in delivering top-quality products.

YOUR TASKS

  • Discuss designs and workflows with UI/UX experts and bring mockups to live action making them work with real robots.
  • Strong knowledge of microservice backend architecture and principles.Extensive experience in developing single-page web applications.
  • Expertise in testing methodologies, including unit testing, component testing, end-to-end testing, and mocking.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript for both front-end and back-end development, and maintain highly reusable TypeScript code using React and GraphQL for our web-based robot user interface
  • Work with robotic engineers to visualize various 2D, 3D and semantic data and powerful interaction functionalities in an easy-to-use user interface for controlling and managing robots and the data they collect.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, preferably in an AI-focused environment
  • Strong knowledge of microservice backend architecture and principles as well as extensive experience in developing single-page web applications
  • Expertise in testing methodologies, including unit testing, component testing, end-to-end testing, and mocking
  • Proficiency in TypeScript for both front-end and back-end development
  • Ability to design backend architecture following clean code principles and microservice best practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • High proficiency in spoken and written English

HELPFUL ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong expertise in TypeScript and React, with experience using GraphQL APIs
  • Basic familiarity with Git-based workflows
  • Experience with WebRTC for video transmission and data transfers
  • Strong knowledge of the latest AI developments, with experience in AI training, data selection, and proficiency in Python for AI tasks and integration
  • German language skills, as well as any other language, are an advantage
  • Located within ±2 hours of CET, with the ability to travel to Darmstadt twice a month for up to 6 days (travel costs covered)
