Infrastructure Operations Lead (DevOps & SRE)

We are expanding globally and building a comprehensive ecosystem of crypto services, including payment infrastructure, custody, mining solutions and enterprise-grade tools for businesses and institutions. We are looking for a strategic Infrastructure Operations Lead to oversee and evolve our infrastructure capabilities by leading both an established DevOps team and a newly formed SRE function. In this role, you will drive operational excellence across a Platform-as-a-Service architecture supporting 30+ products within a high-load blockchain and fintech environment. You will operate in a global engineering organization of 100+ specialists, shaping reliability, scalability, and efficiency at platform level.

Bare-metal Kubernetes, Go, PostgreSQL, Kafka, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Grafana, ELK stack.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership

• Lead the existing DevOps team and build the SRE team from scratch
• Hire, onboard, and integrate SRE engineers into the current infrastructure organization
• Drive professional development, performance growth, and skill planning across both teams

Infrastructure Strategy & Reliability

• Develop and execute infrastructure strategy supporting 30+ products
• Ensure 99.9%+ uptime through strong DevOps–SRE collaboration
• Define and implement unified processes across DevOps and SRE
• Own incident management leadership and cross-team response coordination

Platform Performance & Scalability

• Lead performance optimization through automation and observability practices
• Oversee capacity planning to support business growth
• Define infrastructure roadmap for scaling toward 40+ products

Operational Efficiency

• Execute cost-optimization initiatives targeting 20–30% savings
• Drive vendor evaluation, technical decision-making, and contract negotiations
• Oversee platform reliability standards (DevOps scope)

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Align infrastructure priorities with Engineering, Finance, Compliance, C-level stakeholders, and Support teams
• Participate in strategic technology evaluation and adoption decisions

Requirements

Core Experience

• 5+ years in infrastructure engineering/operations
• 3+ years leading engineering teams in FinTech
• Proven experience managing DevOps or platform engineering teams
• Strong understanding of SRE principles and their practical implementation
• Production-level Kubernetes expertise (bare-metal experience is essential)

Leadership & Strategy

• Experience integrating existing and newly built teams into one structure
• Background in infrastructure strategy for enterprise-scale environments
• Hands-on incident leadership in high-stakes production systems
• Practical FinOps / cost optimization experience

Technical & Operational Skills

• Vendor technical evaluation and negotiation experience
• Strong understanding of performance optimization (DB + application layers)
• Cross-functional stakeholder management skills
• Professional English for international collaboration

Nice to Have

• Leadership in high-load systems (blockchain or financial platforms)
• IaC ecosystem knowledge (Terraform, Ansible)
• Observability platforms experience (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
