What began as a shared frustration between two passionate social workers, Erin Pash and Kyle Keller, blossomed into a nationwide movement to revolutionize mental health care. In 2015, they founded Ellie Mental Health, opening their first clinic in Minnesota with a clear and powerful mission: to destigmatize mental health and make seeking help as normal as going to the gym. This refreshing philosophy resonated deeply. From that single location, Ellie Mental Health embarked on an incredible journey of growth. Recognizing the immense need for their unique approach, they adopted a franchise model in 2021, empowering local entrepreneurs and clinicians to bring the Ellie brand of accessible and innovative mental wellness to their own communities. This strategy ignited explosive expansion, and the 'Ellie Fam' grew from its Minnesota roots to hundreds of locally owned and operated clinics across the United States. This rapid scaling, backed by an investment from Princeton Equity Group in 2022, has positioned Ellie as one of the fastest-growing behavioral health companies in the nation. Despite its size, the company strives to maintain its founding ethos, creating a supportive and creative environment for its therapists, believing that happy and fulfilled clinicians provide the best possible care for clients. In early 2025, co-founder Erin Pash transitioned from CEO to Chairwoman of the Board, passing the leadership torch to Michael DiMarco to guide the company through its next stage of growth, while she remains a steadfast advocate for its clinical vision.
