As the Accountant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operational efficiency and financial management of four established companies. Your responsibilities will include:
Bookkeeping Management:
- Manage the bookkeeping processes for all four companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain clean and organized financial records for each entity.
Reporting Updates:
- Regularly update monthly and weekly reports, identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
Leadership in Operations Activities:
- Lead and organize operational activities, especially during tax season.
- Ensure adherence to established processes while consistently seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee the organization of work papers with customers, facilitating a seamless process during tax-related engagements.
- Follow up with prospects and existing customers throughout the buying and support processes.
Workflow and Process Improvement:
- Drive the continuous improvement of workflows and processes within the team.
- Identify and implement strategies to enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and optimize productivity.
Data Analysis in Google Sheets:
- Create new analyses in Google Sheets to evaluate the effectiveness of existing processes.
- Utilize tools such as XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and Zapier to gather insights and address gaps in the operational workflow.
- Demonstrate comfort with data analysis tools and, if possible, contribute to the development of automated reporting systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial management.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Google Sheets.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with a diverse team.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and drive positive change.
Preferred Skill (not required):
- Familiarity with XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and Zapier.
