As a leader connecting business processes to CRM technology, the Head of Sales Operations will use analytics to discover, develop and implement systems, processes, reports and dashboards to enable success at each stage of the sales process. The Head of Sales Operations role is responsible for working with key executives within Edged, as well as partners across the greater ecosystem, including sales, marketing, business development, client relations, marketing operations, sales operations, IT, HR, and business analytics to create and execute on a strategy that leads to successful business outcomes that are informed by data, are efficient and streamlined.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and optimize systems across Pre-Sales, Sales, Marketing and Customer Success teams to enhance pipeline generation, sales productivity, and business process efficiency.
- Develop and distribute weekly market intelligence reporting
- Lead quarterly and annual sales planning process and ensure successful execution of all planning activities - including territory design, headcount deployment and quota allocation.
- Build visibility and track KPIs for full visibility across the entire GTM for both multi-tenant and single tenant/BTS pipeline.
- Responsible for market leasing reports for investor review as well as preparation of board material.
- Collaborate with marketing on targeted campaigns within each Edged market to increase brand awareness and opportunity development
- Analyze and understand forecast trends across different business segments and see around corners to provide insight to sales management.
- Create and Implement reporting and dashboards for the sales organization that focuses on improving efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.
- Establish ground-up workflow elements of a Customer Resource Management (CRM) and Configure Price Quote (CPQ) tool set.
- Develop & own cyclical and ad hoc sales reporting to improve business decision making.
- Manage the weekly deal review process and associated presentations and analysis in close collaboration with corporate development
- Manage commission reporting and development of detail sheets for approvalss
- Support and manage recurring aspects of the sales team commission plan.
- Support creation of quote to cash (QTC) engine. Manage quotation process and order development
- Support finance via a monthly billing reconciliation process
- Manage contract repository along with product and legal
Education / Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of demonstrated experience in revenue operations, sales operations, sales strategy or GTM finance; driving and owning outcomes in the data center industry.
- Reporting, forecasting, and providing expert insight into sales metrics across hyperscale, wholesale, and retail product sets.
- Advanced analytical skills (proficient in modeling complex problems), and expert critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of the hyperscale data center market and key targets therein.
- Self-starter that thrives by taking a high-level problem statement and diving into all the details.
- Deep knowledge of CRM and CPQ software (Carma/Microsoft Dynamics
- Experience standing-up new front-end systems supporting Quote to Cash (QTC)
- Deep understanding of marketing and sales operations in B2B SaaS companies.
- Hands-on experience managing the GTM tech stack.
- Building sales operations teams and process in a startup and growth environment
- Thrive in organized chaos, and general urgency in execution and bias toward action.
