Overview The Senior IT Project Manager will be a vital member of the IT team of the North American division of Edged Data Centers. We are looking for someone who can drive the overall IT portfolio and ensure the delivery of key projects. This role focuses on the overall IT portfolio, project management for specific initiatives, and change management support for initiatives across Edged. The Senior IT Project Manager needs to be comfortable managing Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid projects, and working in a rapidly changing environment. The right person is trustworthy with confidential information, highly organized, self-motivated, has excellent communication skills, and can work equally well independently as well as with a team. Key Responsibilities
Include but not limited to:
Perform project management activities for assigned projects
- Ensure the project plan is maintained and kept on schedule throughout the project
- Provide budget stewardship to ensure projects stay within assigned costs
- Ensure the overall scope of the project is met
- Coordinate and manage 3rd parties required to successfully implement projects
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely completion of milestones
- Maintain a project RAID log for all risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions
- Conduct steering committee reviews of project status, timeline, and risks
- Send out status reports that outline key accomplishments, upcoming tasks, milestone progress, and risks
- In conjunction with the various functional leads, ensure proper communications to all stakeholders
- Ensure proper testing and change control are conducted on all releases
IT Portfolio Management
- Work with IT team members to build out their project plans in JIRA for identified goals and projects
- Own the overall IT portfolio project reporting and facilitate monthly project reviews with the head of IT on the progress of all initiatives
- Coordinate quarterly IT goal planning sessions and update JIRA project plans as needed
Change Control
- Manage the IT production change control (PCC) process throughout the year
- Perform training for EDC staff and 3rd parties on the PCC process
- Ensure PCC compliance by all parties throughout the year
Change Management and Communication
- Ensure proper communications for various implementations
- In conjunction with functional leads, create documentation and training materials, and deliver them to end users via email, remote training, and meetings.
Skills & Requirements Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Process Engineering or a related field.
- 7+ years of project management for IT-based software implementations
- PMP or Agile certifications
- Change Management experience (ADKAR, Prosci or similar) a plus
- Production change control experience
- Building user acceptance test cases and ensuring completion
- Experience implementing financial system, operations systems or computerized maintenance management projects a plus
Skills/Abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build trust with stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated and takes the initiative to identify and resolve issues with multi-department teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strategic thinker with a focus on aligning technology with business objectives.
- Knowledge of IT systems, tools, and technologies, with a focus on scalability and security.
- Proficient in documenting project progress/status reports and managing actionable project plans.
- Experience managing projects and test cases in Jira is highly desirable.
- Travel is expected up to 10%.
