What you’ll be responsible for
The successful candidate will, as part of a small team, support Welsh Waters Supply chain by ensuring all suppliers invoices/payment documents received are accurately processed and paid. The team also, carry out the weekly payment run and any additional runs for all creditors, record CIS deductions and perform the monthly Construction Industry Tax return to HMRC and cover all associated general clerical duties. Ensuring that Service Level Agreements are upheld and that they can Process a minimum of 160 invoices per day.
Further duties will include:
• Verifying and processing Supplier invoices and RFPs for payment.
• Recording Construction Industry Tax and completing CIS tax return for HMRC.
• Answering enquiries from Suppliers and internal colleagues.
• Writing and updating Procedures.
• Writing letters and emails to Suppliers and Colleagues to answer payment enquiries.
• Reconciling Statements.
• Producing Prompt Payment Code accounts (reports to colleagues).
• Opening, scanning and recording Accounts Payable Post.
• Completing Payment runs and Bankline Payments on Request.
• Any Accounts Payable related ad hoc or minor project work as required.

About you
Experience, Qualifications and Skills
Top skills for the role:-
1. Team player with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to learning whilst working remotely
2. Ability to demonstrate a Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles (including Construction Industry Tax scheme)
3. Excellent data entry skills along with an aptitude for numbers
4. Knowledge of SAP or similar Purchase to pay system would be advantageous
