Work with the Executive Team to establish the company’s technical vision and execute all

aspects of the Company’s technological development; Exhibits expertise in the company’s

business model and performance, showcasing and exceptional understanding that encompass

all facets; Demonstrates a comprehensive grasp of the companys strategic intent, effectively

articulating the overarching roles of all significant functions with clarity and precision.

Obsession to deliver customer value through an optimized engineering approach (i.e. small

MVP’s, small PR’s, well documented PR context);Seeks to resolve technical differences quickly

and efficiently by engaging appropriate stakeholders; Maintains a cutting-edge awareness of

market trends within the functional domain, consistently spearheading innovative initiatives

that keep the company highly competitive in the ever-evolving landscape; Guides Engineering

to adopt processes and strategies to create scalable solutions, develop and innovate faster;

coach developers to challenge assumptions and think differently; Drives technical architectural

decisions for Engineering Product teams; Works in a consultative fashion with other

department heads, such as Product, Legal, Marketing and Operations as an advisor of

technologies; Provides leadership for Engineering in a fashion that supports the Company’s

Vision, Mission and Values; Research new tools and technologies, taking appropriate risks and

tradeoffs in adopting their use; Works with the Finance Team to develop and manage

department budgets and development project/team tracking systems; Proactively identifies

potential risks/issues and works with the team and other stakeholders to develop mitigation

strategies; Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to be able to

effectively communicate both technical and non-technical audiences; Collaborate cross-

functionally (Pillar Engineering, Product, UX, Marketing Operations) to set ambitious goals,

and hold self and team accountable to the desired outcomes; Experience leveraging data to

make and support decision; Ensures delivery of high quality, well tested, and scalable software

to meet the functional and scheduling requirements of the Product Roadmap; Review and

evaluate vendor proposals to ensure security requirements for proposed; solutions,

technologies, services and capabilities are carefully considered; Work directly with the business

units to facilitate risk analysis and risk management; processes; Ensure alignment of security

programs with business strategy and coordinate security activities with business plans; Develop

effective disaster recovery and Business Continuity policies and standards; Act as the primary

control point during security incidents, oversees forensics, custody of data, and provides timely

update reporting; Develop and manage security policy and Risk management; Manage security

incidents and events to protect corporate IT assets, including intellectual property, fixed assets,

and the companys reputation; Ensure solutions meet all requirements of quality, security,

modifiability, extensibility, and scalability; Improve existing systems by adding automation and

automated testing wherever possible. Make continuous improvements to our monitoring,

metrics, and logging systems; maximize collaboration within the Engineering environment,

identifying risks and blockers, working to mitigate accordingly, while keeping the team’s goals

on track and maintaining quality; Consistently share information with the team, stakeholders,

and leadership to reach and maintain alignment; Understand key business objectives and how

decisions made impact the team’s ability to deliver results that meet those outcomes, and

adapt goals and outcomes as the business evolves; Identify, track, and act upon meaningful

metrics that represent both team and system health; Make evaluative judgments based on

analyzing information in complicated situations. Employer positions are 100% remote.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field

15 years of Experience in Engineering Technology with at least 7.5 years in managing

people and directing projects with cross-functional teams;

Experience in Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD tools, and microservice framework; Web Apps Architecture and Cloud

Native Engineering, Security and open source technologies;

Experience with cloud platforms, AWS, Google Cloud, to design, create, and deploy solutions using Container/Kubernetes.
