Overview
The Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) team is accountable for protecting Deutsche Bank from financial and reputational losses incurred by financial crimes by assessing, controlling, and mitigating risks. The Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Transaction Monitoring Investigations Manager will be responsible for assisting in the development and management of a team of investigators within the Financial Crime Operations (FCO) program, including the associated policies, procedures, and controls. The Vice President will also propose procedural enhancements.

What You’ll Do
Conduct thorough transaction monitoring utilizing Deutsche Bank AML systems to detect any activity indicative of money laundering or other suspicious activity; promote continuous analysis by interpreting relevant industry regulations and Deutsche Bank’s Compliance policies to ensure controls are appropriately implemented and monitored for compliance
Perform oversight functions and work with monitoring team leads in order to provide feedback and determine focus of reviews; work closely with the team daily to ensure work is prioritized based on staffing and capacity for the team
Work directly with FCO management to identify and escalate open issues that represent risk; serve as a point of contact for the respective transaction monitoring team leads to address any issues/concerns that may arise as it pertains to the investigative process; manage and assist in the management of succession planning; assist the Director of FCO JAX to address audit inquiries internally & externally
Stay up to date on any new rules, regulations, and reputation risks to develop implement and revise current policies and procedures; understand business and regulatory requirements and ensure functions are being performed to those requirements
Understand the full scope of the end-to-end transaction monitoring process; ensure continual best practices across the transaction monitoring investigative process are effective
Develop and retain staff by supporting individualized continued development and assist in the development of training guidance; monitor MI and ensure management accountability in resolving the aging of cases/alerts to meet established Service Level Agreements (SLA) ; ensure Key Operations Procedures are up to date and work on special projects and assist as needed
How You’ll Lead
Manage and develop your team's (comprised of Analyst to Assistant Vice President level investigators) performance through regular one on one's and expectation management; set team deliverables and set timescales to agreed minimum standards and ensuring adherence to regulatory/ audit requirements
Oversee the effective operation of the Fraud Investigations group by ensuring SLA's and regulatory requirements are fulfilled
Work and collaborate with key stakeholders across teams, departments to ensure success of the broader function
Skills You’ll Need
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; CFE certification is a plus
Extensive experience as an AML investigator in a transaction monitoring capacity or equivalent experience or education; Strong knowledge of AML laws (USA PATRIOT Act), Regulations (Fed, Securities and Exchange Commission, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) and their application to the supported products/business lines
Proven management experience in a comparable environment; Experience in Correspondent Banking, Global Markets and Asset Management businesses is preferred
Experience with fraud case management software (Actimize, Verafin, Prime, etc.)
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experienced knowledge of MS Excel, including pivot tables, macros, filtering, and sorting; working knowledge of effective internet search techniques

Expectations
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jacksonville, FL office in accordance with the Bank’s remote working model.

The salary range for this position in Jacksonville, FL is $96,000 to $140,850. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
