About the opportunity
Dayforce Philippines is a growing HCM (human capital management) company based in Manila. Our platform, Workcloud, caters to a wide range of clients in the Japanese local market. Workcloud combines HR functions with time management, leave, and payroll services.
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Test Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our enterprise web application through robust testing and automation practices. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, a deep understanding of software systems, and a passion for quality assurance.
What You'll Get Do
• Design, develop, and maintain test automation codebase using Katalon Studio for a complex enterprise web application
• Create and execute automated and manual test cases based on project requirements and customer expectations.
• Collaborate with development, support, and deployment teams to investigate bugs, reproduce issues, and ensure timely resolutions.
• Utilize tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin, and other CI/CD platforms to streamline testing processes.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to quality coding standards and best practices.
• Document all testing activities and contribute to daily and weekly QA reports.
• Provide feedback on product design and testability during planning and development phases.
• Stay current with industry trends, tools, and methodologies to continuously improve testing strategies.
• Ensure final product quality before production releases.
Skills and experience we value
• Proven experience in test automation and software development.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Ruby, Python, JavaScript).
• Strong understanding of software architecture and system integration.
• Familiarity with SDLC, agile methodologies, and version control systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.
What would make you really stand out
• Experience with performance testing and security testing.
• Have worked with Katalon Studio for test automation
• Conversational Japanese language skill
• Experience with mentoring juniors for automation skills
