Founded in 1970 by three graduates of Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, we started with a simple idea: provide a more dynamic and effective brand of development assistance. Today, we're an integrated professional services and advisory firm that helps companies, investors, and governments tackle their most pressing challenges through project design and delivery, management consulting, and financial services.

Our work spans the full spectrum of development disciplines - from economic growth and democratic governance to environment, energy, and global health. We've worked in more than 150 countries, and at any given time, we likely have active projects in 90 or more nations. What sets us apart is that we're employee-owned through an S corporation employee stock ownership plan (ESOP), which means our team has a genuine stake in the success of every project we deliver.
