Who are we looking for?

As the Senior Project Management and Operations Director, you’ll work closely with the cross functional teams of Client Success, Sales, Product and Education Partners to organize the operational work of the organization. We’re looking for an experienced individual contributor who has a background in project management and is experienced in gathering data and information from multiple sources and organizing it into data visualizations or dashboards to provide a 360 look at the work of the business. This self-starter is a great communicator and organizer with a strong ability to create efficient workflow and processes, and keep the leadership team organized, on track, and informed. This is an individual contributor level role, with no direct reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide structure and lead organizational effectiveness by improving operational model, managing multiple work streams, driving project timelines, and collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Provide clear and proactive communication that ensures cross-functional and stakeholder buy-in every step of the way.
  • Manage efficient meetings and coordinate follow-up actions for completion.
  • Create and manage a portfolio roll-up of work across the organization.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, tracking, reporting, learnings and recaps.
  • Create and maintain processes for operational consistency in support of a high-performing department and organizational culture.
  • Develop workflows that maximize productivity, and set and meet operational goals.
  • Responsible for supporting vision, planning, and defining team objectives, and leading execution of objectives
  • Work with your peers and leaders to drive productivity, efficiency, and hold the team accountable for high-quality outcomes

Qualifications

  • 10+ relevant years of project management or operations experience.
  • Experience creating dashboards, tracking projects, and working with executives and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, written and organizational skills as well as a strong attention to detail.
  • Able to adapt, prioritize, exercise initiative, manage pressure, multitask and work independently
  • Experience with project management tools and data visualization tools, leading to the creation of critical dashboards.
  • Lean Six Sigma, PMI, or other project management-related certifications.
  • Demonstrated capability for autonomous problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience working with EdTech, Corporate L&D or Higher education online learning divisions.
  • Self-starter who can drive multiple projects spontaneously.
  • Team player who can work calmly and quickly in high-stress environments.
  • Project management experience working with stakeholders including: regional teams, product and marketing counterparts, internal leadership, and external agencies.
  • Experience presenting to and interacting with cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders (across marketing, Public Relations, product, engineering, UX, Business Development, Finance).

The expected base salary range for a new hire in this role is listed below. The annualized base salary offered is determined by each candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, education, training and experience. It is aligned to ensure both internal and external competitiveness using market data for the geographic location and industry. As part of the total compensation at D2L the role may be eligible for additional benefits including a Wellness Subsidy, Equity Grants, Variable Incentive, and more.

Base Salary Range$125,000—$150,000 USD
