CSG's Systems and API Team designs and develops scalable, secure system architectures and APIs that empower our R&D organization to deliver innovative solutions, enhance operational efficiency, and drive technological innovation.

We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to design and implement robust, future-proof systems and APIs.

In this role, you will develop secure, well-documented APIs, utilize SMS, MMS, and RCS communication technologies, and create scalable, high-performance systems. Collaborating with systems engineers and cross-functional teams, you will ensure reliability, scalability, and alignment with organizational goals.

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer Engineer who will:

• API Design & Development: Design RESTful APIs adhering to best practices and develop scalable backend services using languages like Python, Java, Go, or C.

• Integration & Collaboration: Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate APIs with user interfaces and coordinate with DevOps teams for smooth CI/CD processes.

• Performance Optimization & Scalability: Conduct performance tuning and load testing to ensure APIs handle high traffic efficiently and implement caching strategies.

• Monitoring & Maintenance: Build telemetry features for monitoring API usage, identifying bottlenecks, and maintaining comprehensive logging & monitoring.

• Security & Compliance: Ensure compliance with security standards and data privacy regulations, supporting regular code security reviews and vulnerability assessments.

• Documentation & Support: Create and maintain detailed API documentation and provide Level 3 support for complex issue resolution.

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience

• 6+ years of relevant experience in developing and maintaining robust, scalable APIs

• Proficiency with programming languages such Python, C/C++, Java, or Go

• Strong understanding of RESTful design principles

• Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL and non-relational databases such as NoSQL

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure/AWS/GCP, especially serverless functions

• Knowledge of SMS, MMS, and RCS communication protocols

• Ability to work in a CLT contract position

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in a business environment
