Clever is looking for a software engineer for JavaScript-like web page login automation. Our Saved Passwords product is used by over a million students every day to access thousands of learning applications.
This is a contract opportunity that begins on July 8th and concludes on December 23rd, 2025.
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy short scripts that automate logging into websites
- Inspect website source code in a browser and leverage CSS selectors and a proprietary JavaScript-like language to find and fill in form fields and clicking buttons.
- Improve our documentation on handling different websites and school special cases
- Collaborate with Clever’s world-class support team to communicate with school districts
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Availability to work up to 10 hours per week in August and September
- Availability to work up to 5 hours per week during off-peak months
- Some knowledge or experience in HTML/CSS and ONE or more of the following: JavaScript, golang, Java, C/C++, Python, Ruby and/or functional languages (Haskell, Scala)
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Ability to self-manage workload and meet our 7-day SLAs for resolving district requests
- Drive to provide the best experience to students and improve our processes

SALARY TRANSPARENCY:
Compensation for this role is $30 per hour.
