Job Summary:

The Learning Advisor is responsible for learning support across all supply chain sectors, supply chain systems and process change management. Learning Advisor activities will range from curriculum design, instructional design, instructional development, training facilitation, training coordination, and learning analysis.

The role is well-suited for an individual who is process-oriented yet creative, and someone who can take big ideas and make them digestible to others. Skills in project management, graphic design, and influencing without authority will be required for success.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead on the overall supply chain learning program for all CRS staff. Work with KML Manager and Communications Specialist to ensure that new staff (SCM and non-SCM) have a clear onboarding plan to understand supply chain concepts and processes relevant to their role and that the relevant material is easily accessible on SharePoint with measurable KPIs
  2. Contribute to the development and maintenance of promotional pathways for supply chain staff, as well as learning pathways appropriate for both supply chain and non-supply chain staff
  3. Support KML Manager’s efforts in competency and capability mapping and standardizing supply chain job descriptions globally
  4. Coordinate with Supply Chain SMEs to provide general learning support for CRS staff and partners
  5. Facilitate trainings, workshops, webinars, training of trainers, etc. as needed.
  6. Keep all learning materials updated as content and contexts may evolve. Ensure updated materials are uploaded to SharePoint and translations are up to date (in line with KML’s translation approach). Work with the Communications Specialist to ensure that staff are aware of learning opportunities and materials.
  7. Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop, curate, and disseminate learning resources, guidance, and other materials for CRS staff and partners
  8. Lead the ERP system (internally called “Insight”) change management and learning, in collaboration with Insight Change Management team, both for new rollouts and ongoing operations.
    1. Develop learning material and events that meet the needs of new and existing Insight supply chain module users, ensuring that training and materials align with Insight Learning Strategy and lessons learned. Facilitate Insight learning events, including TOTs and webinars.
    2. Create long-term ERP learning plan that includes new hires, existing staff moving to new roles, and the evolution of standard users into super users and beyond.
    3. Partner with Supply Chain Business Process Owners (BPOs) and Communications Specialist to develop key messages for important Insight communications
    4. Work with leads in Project Insight and ERP Supply Chain Regional Implementation Advisors (RIAs) and Regional Technical Advisors (RTAs) to develop strategies for reinforcing user adoption
    5. Coordinate with GSCM Systems & Performance (S&P) team to determine if people are using system properly according to best practice, policy and procedures. Provide follow-up advice and training as needed.
  9. With the KML Manager, develop, implement, and maintain an organization-wide Supply Chain Learning Strategy, from onboarding up to promotional pathway learning
  10. Other activities as needed.
  11. Provide ongoing support to RIAs and RTAs who are coaching CPs that have gone live in the system, including helping them understand how policies and procedures apply to the system

EXTERNAL: Peers in similar INGOs; KML Consultants and Organizations; Relevant Working Groups

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Psychology, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Business Administration, International Development, or related discipline or equivalent professional experience required. Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • Five years ’experience in training (face-to-face, and virtual) or adult learning. Some experience in a developing country context required, preferably at least 3 years.
  • Desired: at least two years of experience in systems implementation, especially ERP, and preferably related to supply chain management
  • Fluency in English required, working ability in French desired.
  • Ability to travel overseas for assessments, training, and technical assistance to field programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication and analytical skills.
  • Working fluency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint) required.
  • Experience using e-learning software Articulate or similar
  • Ability to use Power BI or equivalent business intelligence program preferred.

  • Proactive, resourceful and results oriented.

Physical Requirements/Environment:

  • Normal conditions for an office environment
  • Willingness/ability to overlap with early morning (8 am US Eastern time) or evening (10 pm US Eastern) calls in order to support colleagues around the world (flexible working schedule will accommodate meetings outside of normal business hours)
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%, including overseas and to potentially difficult environments
