We are seeking a highly experienced Manufacturing Operations Program Manager to lead critical manufacturing initiatives across global production sites. This role is responsible for planning and executing factory transfers, supporting test and manufacturing engineering readiness for new product introduction (NPI), and partnering with engineering to scope and drive process improvements across contract manufacturers and internal teams. In addition, the role supports technical operations budgeting by managing inputs, tracking forecasts, and collaborating with engineering, finance, and leadership.
This is a high-impact, cross-functional individual contributor role requiring technical depth, operational execution, and financial discipline. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in telecom hardware manufacturing, global factory transfers, and leading technical programs across multiple disciplines and geographies, with measurable impact on our company margins and P&L as part of our near-shore strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead manufacturing site transfers across global production partners, ensuring technical readiness, process qualification, and supply continuity.
Responsible for technical operations budgeting by managing inputs, tracking forecasts, tracking variances, and coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders and Finance.
Program manage NPI test and manufacturing readiness and ramp execution, coordinating closely with product design, test development, and supply chain.
Interface with internal stakeholders and CMs/ODMs to drive process readiness, capacity planning, and first article builds.
Partner with engineering to scope and drive process improvements across contract manufacturers and internal teams.
Ensure compliance with telecom manufacturing standards (e.g., TL 9000), internal procedures, and customer requirements.
Develop and maintain documentation including manufacturing site transfer plans, program schedules, and readiness checklists.
Lead initiatives and partner broadly across cross-functional departments including Supply Chain, Engineering, Sourcing, and Quality.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
12+ years of experience in telecom hardware manufacturing or related electronics industry, including site transfers and NPI.
Experience supporting technical operations or engineering budgets with strong planning and analytical skills.
Understanding of PCBA manufacturing, assembly, and test processes.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with engineering, quality, supply chain, sourcing, and finance teams.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (up to 20%).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with global contract manufacturers and original design manufacturers (CMs/ODMs).
Six Sigma certification.
Experience with PLM (Agile, Propel) and project management/issue-tracking (Jira) tools.
Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
Compensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education.
