Job Title: Financial Controller

Location: Fully Remote

Working hours: 8am-5pm EST

Role Overview

We are looking for a Financial Controller with experience in agency environments (digital marketing, creative, or similar) and a strong background in QuickBooks Online (QBO). This role will oversee the company’s financial health, ensuring accurate reporting, budgeting, and strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain and reconcile QuickBooks Online (QBO) records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Develop financial strategies to support business growth and improve profitability.
• Manage cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, and expense tracking for the agency.
• Handle payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for employees and contractors.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations for decision-making.
• Ensure tax compliance, including sales tax, payroll, and corporate filings.
• Streamline financial processes and implement best practices for efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or similar role in a digital marketing agency or related industry.
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO)—must be comfortable managing financials within the platform.
• Payroll management experience, including processing payroll, tax compliance, and benefits administration.
• Solid understanding of GAAP, financial planning, and reporting principles.
• Experience managing agency financials, project-based accounting, and revenue recognition.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills with high attention to detail.
• CPA or relevant financial certifications are a plus.
