The Construction Project Manager Intern supports the execution of Buckle construction projects, including new store openings, remodels, and relocations. This internship will provide hands-on experience in construction project management within a fast-paced retail environment.
Requirements
- Assist Project Managers with daily project activities.
- Coordinate communication between internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Maintain project files, logs, and documentation.
- Assist with reviewing drawings, specifications, and contractor submittals.
- Support change order tracking and documentation.
- Help manage Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Assist with contract and compliance documentation.
- Track project costs and expenditures.
- Assist with invoice review and approval processes.
- Support budget updates and cost reporting.
- Help identify potential cost impacts or variances.
- Assist in developing and updating construction schedules.
- Monitor progress against timelines and flag delays.
- Help coordinate inspections, deliveries, and critical path activities.
- Participate in site visits and progress meetings.
- Observe construction activities to understand sequencing and safety practices.
- Assist with punch list development and closeout activities.
- Help ensure site documentation is current and complete.
- Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and status reports.
- Assist with presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate communication records and action-item tracking.
