About The Role

This role serves as the primary training resource for our Account Managers and Senior Account Managers. Works with teammates to provide new learning opportunities related to products, services and delivery. Addresses growth and improvement areas as identified by Account Executives, AVP, Client Services and Director of Client Services to coach teammates for enhanced performance in roles.

Core Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain and update custom learning solutions to reflect current trends and evolving business priorities.

  • Support the creation of learning materials, role plays, and simulations using proven learning and behavior change frameworks.

  • Assist in standardizing and customizing content, as well as upgrading existing materials across programs.

  • Works 1:1 with teammates as needed to promote and enhance development in partnership with team leaders for Account Managers or Senior Account Managers.

  • Partner with subject matter experts to co-develop high-quality learning content. Partners with Product Practice consultants to develop and rollout topic-based training that enhances our team’s core knowledge of our products and services. Ensures that training is timely, effective and enhances our delivery capabilities.

  • Partners with leadership to develop and roll out process-based training that aligns with our consulting model.

  • Focus on skill-development and continuous learning, building resources and tools that enhance teammate growth.

  • Supports consistent and high-quality account management delivery through individual coaching, needs assessments and development.

  • Partners with our HR and Learning & Development leaders to enhance access to learning opportunities available at the company and enterprise levels. Aligns teammate growth objectives to training opportunities.

  • Foster social learning and learning by doing by developing and sourcing innovative solutions and content

  • Lead efforts to conduct needs analyses with managers and People Strategists, uncovering the root cause of performance barriers, not just the symptoms.

  • Leverage knowledge of our client services roles to design impactful programs that mix learning modalities and drive measurable, long-term behavior change.

  • Identify areas for improvement within team processes and performance.

  • Provide timely, constructive feedback to peers and leaders in a respectful, solution-focused manner.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through candid and collaborative communication.

Skills Needed:

•Bachelor’s degree required.

•Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a Group Insurance employee benefits claims or service role in the National Accounts domain.

•High level of knowledge about the benefits we service including short term disability, long term disability, leave programs, life insurance, AD&D, voluntary benefits, dental and vision.

•High level of technical knowledge in all components of contracts, plan design, claim processes, and vendor capabilities.

•Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deliver direct, actionable feedback confidently.

•Demonstrated experience in recognizing performance gaps and initiating improvement conversations.

•Comfortable engaging in candid dialogue with team members and leadership to drive positive outcomes.

•Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication, and presentation skills required.

•Ability to coach and teach concepts; Eagerness to learn and to propose best in class learning experiences

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.

•Self-directed with positive drive and approach, including the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a virtual working environment.

•Must be detail-oriented, have highly developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and manage strict deadline and turnaround time requirements.

•Ability to establish credibility at all levels of the organization and with clients through confident communications and actions based on integrity.

•Must be actively licensed (Life, Accident, and Health License) or willing to obtain license in state of residence within the first 6 months of employment.
