The HRIS/Compensation Analyst plays a critical role in supporting and optimizing the organization’s HR systems and compensation programs. This position is responsible for HRIS administration, data integrity, system reporting and analysis, as well as supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of salary structures, job evaluations, market analyses, and incentive programs. The Analyst ensures that HR data and compensation practices align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Location: This position is remote at first but will likely be hybrid in the future. Candidate must be based in the Cleveland, OH area, with the flexibility to work in an office environment. Occasional travel may be required for trainings or conferences.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities:
HRIS Administration:
- Maintain and optimize the HRIS platform for system performance and usability.
- Support system configuration, upgrades, testing, and other technical projects.
- Develop and maintain HRIS workflows, security permissions, and data validation routines.
- Ensure data integrity through regular audits, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
- Create, schedule, and distribute HR reports, dashboards, and analytics for HR leadership and business units.
- Provide user training and support for HR team members and employees.
Compensation Analysis:
- Support the administration of base salary, incentive, and equity programs.
- Conduct job evaluations and market pricing analyses using compensation survey data.
- Assist in annual compensation cycle processes including merit increases, bonus plan administration, and salary structure updates.
- Perform data analysis to ensure internal equity, external competitiveness, and compliance with FLSA, pay transparency, and other regulations.
- Develop and maintain compensation-related reports and tools to support HR and business decisions.
- Participate in compensation survey submissions and benchmarking studies.
Projects and Compliance:
- Assist in developing and improving HR processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure HRIS and compensation practices comply with applicable labor laws and regulations.
- Partner with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Payroll, and Talent Acquisition on related initiatives.
- Participate in special projects related to HR technology, compensation, and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, or a related field required.
- 3+ years of experience in HRIS administration, compensation analysis, or related HR roles.
- Experience with HRIS systems (Paylocity, Workday or similar) strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas); experience with data visualization tools a plus.
- Knowledge of compensation principles, salary surveys, and job evaluation methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
- CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or PHR/SPHR certification is a plus.
