Your mission

Bisly is a cutting-edge building automation startup dedicated to revolutionizing the way buildings are managed and optimized. As we continue to expand our operations and scale our business, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Operations to join our leadership team.

As the VP of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in driving the operational efficiency and scalability of our organization. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our operational activities, including outsourced manufacturing, supply chain management, logistics, quality assurance, and customer support. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will develop and implement strategies to streamline processes, optimize resource allocation, and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. Construction sector is something where you have experience from and feel comfortable operating in.

Your profile

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all operational functions, including manufacturing, supply chain management, logistics, quality assurance, and customer support.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to optimize operational efficiency, reduce costs, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and measure operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute the company's overall business strategy, ensuring alignment with operational objectives and goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners to ensure timely delivery of materials and services while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing operations team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive employee engagement, productivity, and growth.
  • Implement best practices in outsourced manufacturing, inventory management, and quality management to optimize processes and maximize operational efficiency.
  • Drive a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the operations team, fostering a positive and results-driven work environment.
  • Responsibility for cost performance and revenue budget (on time deliveries).

You'll succeed in this role with:

  • 2-4 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a manufacturing or technology-driven environment.
  • Proven track record of success in leading and managing cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence and drive business results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of operational issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment, with a hands-on and results-oriented approach to leadership.
  • Experience with building automation, IoT, or related industries.
  • Experience of leading and managing construction sector projects (you feel comfortable around building sites and know how it all comes together)
  • Proficiency in project management tools, ERP systems, and other relevant software applications.
