JOB SUMMARY:

The Exec. Director, Global Treasurer is responsible for leading the global treasury function including global cash and debt management, collections, and risk management. Reporting directly to the VP, Global Controller, the Treasurer will work with leadership across the organization by providing insight and guidance with the latest banking services and products to improve operational effectiveness. This position is expected to develop accurate and timely information so that thoughtful and timely decisions can be made to improve the company's working capital metrics, drive improvement in free cash flow and control costs each year. This position is responsible for ongoing development of cash management processes and systems and ensuring efficient consolidation of cash, payment of obligations, cash forecasting, investment management and foreign exchange best practices. This position drives continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own designing short-term and long-term strategies to achieve continuous improvement and efficiencies in treasury and banking related activities, including cash management and FX needs
  • Oversee all global treasury and cash related functions
  • Recruit, hire, onboard and lead 1 direct report. Continue to assess Treasury staffing needs as company scales.
  • Direct cash management operations to include daily cash consolidation, Treasury related disbursements and funding of various obligations
  • Analyze, understand and be accountable for treasury practices and cash balances and be able to explain changes and variances to leadership; analyze financial data, summarize findings, and make recommendations to drive growth in free cash flow and profitability
  • Review and drive improvements in cash management processes, ensuring financial obligations can be met in accordance with Company policies and procedures
  • Develop a system of controls and signals for early detection of various exposures and risks; develops and continuously revises workflows to ensure current and future business needs are met with no loss of assets
  • Evaluate new banking products and services; ensure accurate maintenance of banking and treasury systems including cost, utilization and administration while considering entry into new markets across the globe
  • Assist in the development of financial policies and capital structures to include liquidity analysis, debt leverage, and share repurchase analysis and strategy
  • Produces high quality dashboards in a clear format that highlights actionable data points
  • Build and maintain relationships with commercial bankers to meet evolving needs across the business and assist with managing relationships with credit rating agencies
  • Preparation of long-term and short-term cash flow, balance sheet forecasts and analysis
  • Lead documentation, monitoring and testing of internal controls for Treasury systems in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 requirements and Internal Audit controls
  • Supervisory responsibilities including recruiting, developing and retaining key talent; assigning and directing work, and appraising performance throughout the year
  • Review Cash and investment account reconciliations
  • Provide input and support for transfer pricing system
  • Develop FX strategies to minimize FX transaction fees
  • Support external auditor activities as required
  • Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or related business field; MBA and/or CTP preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 15+ years broad Finance experience with minimum of 10 years of Global Treasury experience and at least 5 years in a Treasury leadership role
  • Understanding of cash forecasting and collections principals and the ability to design and manage a global cash forecasting program
  • Experience in implementing and ongoing testing SOX controls with familiarity of risk areas
  • Broad experience in capital markets, including debt issuance and redemptions, financing and banking regulation changes, and the ability to react and adapt in a manner that minimizes any disruption to business needs and processes
  • Solid understanding of business trends and their impact on treasury processes and practices; able to react quickly to changes to allow for least disruption to business and partners
  • Demonstrated and practical finance experience including developing robust financial and business-case modeling
  • Comfortable presenting to Executive Team as well as staff members, including strong self-awareness in various meetings and presentation settings
  • Comprehensive understanding of transfer pricing rules
  • Ability to design, develop and establish written policies, procedures and standards and the controls necessary to ensure compliance
  • Special consideration given for those with strong knowledge of the principles of treasury and cash management within a publicly traded company
