Responsibilities
- Create detailed and comprehensive test cases and plans.
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts as well as manual investigations to resolve backend user issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis of existing test script failures and product issues.
- Identify deficiencies in current test scripts and expand coverage through additional scripting.
- Perform investigatory testing of unreleased features, including defining requirements, expected behavior, and impact.
- Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to ensure product reliability and stability.
Requirements
- 8+ years of QA / Testing experience, preferably in backend or large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong experience in middleware and microservice governance testing, ideally with white-box testing exposure.
- Proficient in Java — able to write code from scratch (live coding assessments will be conducted).
- Strong SQL knowledge and hands-on coding ability.
- Experience designing comprehensive test case frameworks and automation design processes.
- Proven ability to perform root cause analysis, identify systemic issues, and propose effective fixes.
- Open-source project contributions are a plus.
- Management experience is a plus (mentoring, guiding, or leading a QA team).
- Recognized as a domain expert with broad technical understanding, capable of handling production issues effectively and efficiently.
- Smart, analytical, and adaptable, able to apply learnings across contexts and solve problems holistically.
