We’re looking for a Product Designer for Bedrock. This role will report to the Chief Product Officer.
Bedrock is DC-based. We are open to in-person, hybrid, and remote (U.S. only).
- Work closely with Chief Product Officer and product design team to define product design vision
- Contribute to the development of our product strategy for B2B and B2G spaces and help identify new opportunities
- Build out our design system in Figma and Coda
- Produce beautiful, finished designs based on wireframes and verbal and written requirements
- Use industry-standard tools (e.g. Figma) to communicate designs to the development and product teams
- Mentor and provide feedback to product designers
- Conduct UX research studies to understand user needs
- Test and validate prototypes
- Follow a user-centered design process and be a relentless advocate for our users
- Encourage a design culture in which customer feedback and user research are included throughout the course of product development
- Design products that people want to use every day
Requirements
- 3+ years of product and ux design experience
- 2+ years of user research experience, including user interviewing, usability testing, prototype testing, card sorting, etc.
- Understand and advocate for a user-centered design process built around research-backed hypotheses, prototyping, and testing
- Previous experience designing UIs that have been loved by real users
- Experience designing mobile-responsive web applications that conform to various screen sizes
- A portfolio containing at least 3 previous design projects
- Demonstrated competency in accessibility – 508 and WCAG 2.1 compliance
- BS in a design or related field or comparable experience
- Strong Figma skills, including branching and version control
