Azalea Investment Management, established by Temasek in 2015, is a Singapore-based asset management firm with a unique mandate to make private equity (PE) accessible to a broader group of investors. Through groundbreaking financial product development, Azalea is revolutionizing investor access to private equity. The firm operates with a three-pronged role as an Investor, Developer, and Manager. As of early 2025, Azalea manages approximately US$11 billion in assets.

A cornerstone of Azalea's innovation is the Astrea platform, a series of investment products based on diversified portfolios of private equity funds. The Astrea series, which started in 2006 (prior to Azalea's formal establishment but continued and expanded under its management), has grown to eight offerings to date, with Astrea 8 being the latest. These products, particularly the Astrea PE bonds, marked a significant step in making PE available to retail investors by offering an investment-grade rated fixed income product backed by cash flows from PE funds.
