The client is a remote-first company with staff located across multiple countries. Each individual is functionally aligned to one of three time zones (APAC, EMEA, Americas).

You will act as a project manager for the interpretation team. Your official title is Associate on the Client Service team. The full career track associated with this role can be seen on the client’s careers page.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring clients’ interpretation and market research needs are met with precision and efficiency. Your responsibilities will focus on three core areas: project management, client communication, and ad-hoc recruitment of specialized language professionals.
As you master these functions, opportunities may arise for managing more complex projects, assuming enhanced client-facing roles, and collaborating with Client Service Managers on strategic planning, furthering your growth within the Client Service team.
Note: This role manages interpretation projects and does not require performing interpretation yourself.
Requirements
You will manage multiple projects per day. Your responsibilities will include:
Scoping
- Communicate with clients via email, phone, or messaging platforms to understand their needs
- Work with colleagues to ensure client expectations for quality, speed, and cost are met
- Identify team members to assist based on relevant time zones or regions
Matchmaking
- Identify the best linguist in the community for the client’s objective
- Present the linguist’s experience in a relevant way for the project
- Recruit new linguists if an ideal match does not exist
- Constantly evaluate project profitability and client satisfaction
Executing
- Align expectations between client(s) and linguist(s)
- Chaperone calls if needed to ensure projects start smoothly
- Follow up with clients after projects to confirm satisfaction
