As the Manager of Training, you will lead a team of Training Managers in the delivery of virtual and in person training, development programs and strategic initiatives and projects as assigned. Reporting to the Sr Mgr, Operational Training, you will collaborate with your direct reports as well as other Training teams, Instructional Design team as well as other key leaders and stakeholders in executing the strategy and delivery of Training and Development programs. You will have highly developed organizational skills with a keen eye for detail. Your people management and leadership skills will be used to develop and inspire your teammates to deliver world class training initiatives. As a member of the Talent Development team, you will be a catalyst for change in the enterprise, working collaboratively with a wide variety of partners across all departments and organizational entities. You will use video communications technology to collaborate daily with your direct reports and your direct supervisor.

Job Responsibilities:

· Lead, manage, assess and develop members of the training team to ensure they deliver world class training and possess industry-leading facilitation skills.

· Collaborate with the Business and Talent team to define and execute a comprehensive learning delivery strategy that enables the store sales team to execute the AN Customer Experience and deliver results.

· Work with the business leaders to identify learning and development needs based on knowledge and skill gaps required to achieve performance objectives, implement new initiatives and/or technology, and to support the strategic direction of senior leadership.

· Has the change agility to quickly adapt to shifting demands and new direction as needed

· Strategize and implement learning solutions in partnership with Corporate, Region and Market Leadership using sound communication plans, proven change management principles and strong project management skills. Solutions will include skills certification programs and other multifaceted curricula utilizing a wide variety of learning media and technology.

· Manage travel and entertainment expenses (T&E) of team members in accordance with company policy and department standards.

· Manage the schedules of, and logistics for, members of the team to ensure optimum use of team resources in support of Operations and ensuring Region/Market training schedules and implementation plans align with operational needs and calendars.

· Measure and evaluate the performance impact of the learning solutions and continually improve them to drive the desired performance results.

· Collaborate with the Learning Design and Development (LDD) Team on learning design, development and Train-The-Trainer (T3) programs.

· Along with the LDD Team, collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from Operations to obtain a full understanding of processes and systems to be trained. When necessary, lead workshops to update and/or develop processes with SME team to be then incorporated into operations and reinforced in training.

· Deliver training and facilitate sessions as a member of the team as needed.

· Observe team during live learning sessions and provide coaching and feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

· 3 – 5 years of experience leading the design, development, and implementation of activity-based learning solutions (Adult Learning Principles). Experience within the Retail Automotive industry including Retail Sales, Service, Parts, or Collision experience strongly preferred.

· 3 - 5 years of experience in delivering training workshops (including Management level participants) and train-the-trainer programs.

· 3 - 5 years managing a training team including content design and delivery.

· Automotive after-sales experience strongly preferred

· Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills with the ability to influence up, down and across the organization.

· Proven understanding of AutoNation operational processes and systems

· Exceptional organizational, business communication and presentation skills

· Attention to detail

· Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office 360 applications, (Word, Excel, Power Point)

· Experience in handling eLearning software (articulate, Acorn etc.)

· Demonstrated knowledge in leveraging LMS systems (Cornerstone, 360Learning, Absorb LMS etc.)

Physical Requirements:

Requires minimum travel (>25%)

Organizational Relationships:

· Directly reports to Sr Mgr, Operational Training

· Directly manages and leads a diverse team of trainers

· Works closely with the following:

o Talent and HR Teams

o Corporate Operational Leadership

o Regional Leadership, HRVPs, Market Teams, ASDs, RODMs and GMs
