Position Overview

As a Technical Program Manager, you’ll be working with leaders in product, design, and engineering to manage product development, delivery and go-to-market execution for product development teams in Construction R&D, as well as supporting the integration of a new team to Autodesk. You’ll lead programs and projects, being the glue that holds them together and takes them to the finish line. Excellent collaboration and communication with other product teams and stakeholders will be a critical part of your success to ensure that dependencies are understood and managed well, and any discovered overlaps are resolved across the Autodesk construction products ecosystem. A great program manager will be highly organized, communicative, and detail-oriented, with a sharp focus on on-time delivery and efficiency at all levels of the COE.

Responsibilities

  • Support the integration of a new team to Autodesk, including directly contributing to developing the integration plan, managing stakeholder communications, tracking and managing open issues, and more
  • Proactively lead programs and projects to ensure successful delivery/outcomes, leveraging deep knowledge of planning and coordination styles
  • Build and maintain timelines, project plans, and communication artifacts (such as dashboard reports, and visual documents) to ensure everyone is operating from the most recent and accurate information
  • Track and report on our performance metrics – perform regular audits of project schedule and task accounting, ensuring this info rolls into our weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting cadences
  • Independently identify project risks and blockers and proactively seek out mitigation and remediation actions
  • Identify decisions required to move a project forward, determine the decision-makers, and ensure decisions are made and documented
  • Roll out new team dashboards to radiate information on schedule and other key product metrics
  • Ensure effective collaboration and communication with other product teams throughout the Construction R&D organization and throughout Autodesk, as well as within the Technical Program Management team
  • Own, contribute and socialize best practices and tooling standards to improve productivity, communication, and documentation across the R&D organization
  • Can effectively coach COE/Group/Team leads to navigate project management communications/updates effectively on their own for Deliverables TPM is not involved in.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing complex software projects spanning multiple teams
  • Technical background or skill set
  • Experienced with standard software engineering methodologies, lifecycles, and development practices, and able to apply the appropriate framework to support a given team’s needs
  • Track record of successful project deliveries with teams who are either remote and/or globally dispersed
  • Team player and diplomat with the ability to organize and partner with all roles at all levels of the organization. Whether it’s a conversation or an email, you communicate thoughtfully and effectively.
  • Experience working with Jira and Confluence

Preferred Qualifications

  • When you see something awry, you fix it. Being proactive and taking initiative comes naturally to you, and you love taming chaos with our organization.
  • Simply amazing when it comes to, organization, and scheduling. Your friends are convinced you have a flying DeLorean parked somewhere.
  • Can navigate dependencies with teams that have different priorities
