Position Overview

As an iOS Engineer, you’ll tackle difficult and interesting challenges and help build and improve the core field experience of Autodesk's construction wing and our stacks are diverse, so you will get exposure to many technologies including Swift, Kotlin, Objective C, SQLite, Python, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Building near real-time collaboration and mark-up for construction drawings
  • Building slick and responsive UI that can handle millions of user generated data points (like photos and annotations)
  • Building tools to streamline communication and collaboration on the construction site
  • Tackling synchronization and consistency that allows our users to work and edit offline
  • Replacing Excel workflows with simple, powerful tools

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software engineering or relevant discipline
  • Have experience building iOS apps in Objective-C and Swift
  • Major plus if you have experience with at least one server side framework (Rails, Django, Flask, etc.) and/or any other native client experience (Kotlin)
  • A strong sense of ownership: You strive for deep understanding, build the appropriate solution to get the job done, and iterate quickly to deliver high impact results
  • Love for building elegant, maintainable code: Abstracting and refactoring should be a passion, not a chore
  • Customer empathy: You have a high degree of customer empathy and drive to understand users' pain points. You strive to frame problems using the best conceptual models
