Salesforce Solution Architect - Revenue Cloud (Fixed Contract)

Department: Aquiva Labs

Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract

Location: AMER

Description

We are looking for a delivery-focused Salesforce Solution Architect specializing in Revenue Cloud (Revenue Cloud Advanced / RCA; formerly Revenue Lifecycle Management and often referred to as RMA in-market). You will lead complex product-to-cash implementations for high‑growth technology companies, with a strong RevOps orientation. Engagements typically include greenfield Revenue Cloud builds, migrations from legacy Salesforce CPQ & Billing managed packages, modernization of quote‑to‑cash, and cross-cloud integrations (Sales Cloud, Data Cloud, Agentforce, Partner channels, ERP).
PST Time Zone alignment is a hard requirement.

Key Responsibilities

Solution & Delivery Leadership

  • Own architecture & phased implementation roadmap for Revenue Cloud programs aligned to client monetization strategy & KPIs.
  • Translate discovery into scalable designs across catalog, pricing procedures, discount policies, approvals, contracts, orders, renewals, usage, billing, and ERP/RevRec hand-offs.
  • Define and lead migration from “legacy” CPQ/Billing (products, price books, rules, contracts, assets, subscriptions, invoices) to core-platform Revenue Cloud
  • Guide dev teams; enforce architecture guardrails, performance, data integrity, and extensibility.
  • Design integrations (API-first services, middleware) with tax, payment, entitlement, provisioning, data lake/warehouse, and downstream finance systems.

Adoption & Value Realization

  • Enable Sales, RevOps, Finance, and Channel teams on new quoting, pricing, and billing processes; create job-role playbooks.
  • Define metrics dashboards (quote velocity, ACV uplift, renewal rates, bill accuracy) and track post-go-live value.
  • Recommend operational changes (deal desk flow, SKU governance, approval matrices) to unlock platform capabilities.

Thought Leadership & Reuse

  • Contribute to Aquiva’s Revenue Cloud practice assets: patterns, estimation models, blogs/webinars, conference talks.
  • Mentor architects, consultants and developers on Revenue Cloud best practices and anti-patterns.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Requirements:
  • Revenue Cloud Delivery Depth: at least one implementation of the new Salesforce Revenue Cloud
  • “Legacy” CPQ/Billing Expertise: Hands-on with Salesforce CPQ & Salesforce Billing managed packages (config, pricing rules, amendments, invoicing) and proven experience planning/leading migrations to Revenue Cloud Advanced.
  • RevOps Domain Leadership: Experience with mapping SaaS/subscription, usage-based, hybrid, co-term, and channel motions to process & data models; engage CRO/CFO/Product leaders credibly.
  • Architecture Chops: Strong Salesforce core platform (data modeling, security/sharing, automation, integration patterns, extensibility) plus API-first design mindset for multi-system revenue flows.
  • Workshop & Stakeholder Facilitation: Lead executive vision sessions; detailed design and SKU/pricing rationalization workshops; change impact reviews.
  • Communication: Excellent written & verbal English; create customer-ready diagrams, demos, and executive decks tying platform capabilities to revenue outcomes.
  • Industry Experience – High Tech: Subscription/usage monetization, multi-product bundles, rapid packaging changes, partner/reseller channels common in tech.
  • ~5+ years in Salesforce delivery / consulting across architect or lead consultant roles (or equivalent depth). (Experience guideline; we value depth of experience over years.)

Desirable:
  • Salesforce certifications: Revenue Cloud AP and CPQ Specialist
  • Additional certification(s) are not mandatory but preferred (Platform App Builder, Developer I and II, Sharing and Visibility Architect, Data Architect, Application Architect, Integration Architect, Identity and Access Management Architect, Development Lifecycle and Deployment Architect, System Architect, any of the Consultant certifications (especially Data Cloud and Agentforce)
  • MBA, in addition to formal technical education
  • Interest in data and AI with some hands-on experience related to Data Cloud and Agentforce
  • Experience with MuleSoft, Workato or similar
