Key Responsibilities:

First point of contact for customers, nurturing and development of customer relations.

  • Complete project management: Project control and supervision, including professional advice on suitable event locations and formats.
  • Assumes responsibility for the budget and ensures that all related financial transactions are carried out on schedule.
  • Knowledge of the customers' events guidelines and compliance requirements.
  • Coordination of all areas involved with project management; supervision of all suppliers during the planning stage and on the ground.
  • Cooperation with the Travel Logistic Planner if logistics solutions are required as part of project management.

Responsibility to the customer and the project.

  • Implementation of customer requirements whilst complying with specified framework conditions such as service level agreements, compliance requirements, etc.
  • Very good standing in all areas and acceptance as project leader.
  • Proactive approach and forward-looking project management planning. Identification of weak areas and timely escalation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and good time management.
  • Passion for the job is our priority.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Very good knowledge of project management, several years' experience in purchasing event services, and end-to-end planning of various event formats.
  • Coordination skills when supervising all areas involved in project management.
  • Very strong customer communication: Comprehensive customer advice; competent at nurturing and developing existing customer relations.
  • An understanding of business figures (profitability of individual projects); focus on results.
  • Sound knowledge of the markets and industries and an enthusiasm for the role.
  • Identification of trends.
  • Experience with MS Office, in particular Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Cvent knowledge is a plus.
  • Very good knowledge of the main national and international hotel and meeting industry; good knowledge of event and meeting technology.
  • Independent approach to work and a good background knowledge of the importance of events as part of the marketing and communication strategy.
  • Ability to build a stable customer relationship on the project manager level and with contacts in the customer's specialist departments.
  • Organization skills, good time management.
  • Event manager training, commercial training in a travel agency or hotel with at least three years professional experience, or career changers from similar industries with at least five years' professional experience.
  • Ability to work in a team, especially with regards to a willingness to accept technical instructions from the Senior Project Manager.
  • Languages: fluent in German and English any other language is a plus
