Job Summary

This is an opportunity to join the Data Warehouse team within Data & Intelligent Systems as Lead ETL Software Engineer (Ab Initio) specializing in insurance software development. The role includes design, development, testing, and implementation of software applications, components, and modules. Stepping into this impactful role, you will develop and maintain architectural roadmaps for all products, influencing change through multiple organizations to accomplish objectives. You will drive the enhancements of application functionality to meet growing needs of global teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in all phases of the agile software development, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
• Design, develop, and optimize data warehouse system, ensuring alignment with business strategies and requirement changes as necessary.
• Implement and champion agile methodologies, focusing on outcome-based delivery, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Utilize expertise in Ab Initio software to develop efficient and scalable data processing solutions.
• Use best practices and traditional modeling techniques to develop and maintain data warehouse solutions.
• Follow and adhere to defined technical standards, as well as contributing to and creating new standards.
• Develop both batch and real-time applications, leveraging your experience in Kafka and scheduling tools to ensure timely and efficient processing.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and end-users to gather requirements, provide updates, and address inquiries.

Job Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise and hands-on experience in Ab Initio development.
• Proficiency in technologies such as UNIX, Oracle database, SQL, Kafka, and AWS S3/Scality to build robust and secure software solutions.
• In depth knowledge of various schemas/file formats like Avro, JSON, Parquet, etc.
• Data lake experience (working knowledge with Spark/Scala).
• Knowledge on Big Data platforms.
• Cloud computing experience.
• Knowledge on modern data lake and data warehouse architecture (i.e., Lakehouse).
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new technologies, industry trends, and business processes.
• Enthusiasm for serving as technical expert for other developers
• 4 year Bachelor's degree preferred.

Compensation offered for this role is $84,500 - 145,000 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
