As a Digital Field Service Engineer supporting the Field Service Engineer Family, you will be trusted to work on digital equipment in your assigned territory. In this role you will also provide technical advice to customers including commissioning, installing and testing of equipment/products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads the planning and installation activities of Alcon connected products.
  • Coordinates with customer, IT and commercial team to assure successful installation.
  • Provide timely technical services on Alcon Digital Smart Suite as required.
  • Monitors product performance and escalates issues to tech support, quality, and engineering team.
  • Communicates equipment problems, quality issues and customer concerns to the appropriate in-house personal and Principle Field Service Engineers.
  • Strategically promote, educate and market Alcon services to customers.
  • Manage company assets and expenses.
  • Provides timely and accurate documentation on services performed.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience

  • Field service experience supporting medical devices preferred.
  • Relevant experience supporting hospital network and firewall requirements preferred
  • Experience with EHR (Electronic Health Record) /EMR (Electronic Medical Record) Systems and DICOM Communication; Solid understanding of cloud technology.
  • Proven leadership and effective decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience supporting healthcare customers with customer agreements, HIPAA, HITECH, network, security, data and privacy concerns.
  • Experience working remotely in a customer facing position.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office tools including; Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Teams, SharePoint, MS Project or similar tool.

Physical Requirements - Ability to lift up to 51 lbs.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience

  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English

  • 2 years of Relevant Experience

  • Work hours:

  • Travel Requirements: 50%
