The Community You Will Join:

Listings and Quality team ensures that our marketplace has accurate, high-quality supply to power trusted experiences for Guests and Hosts. As the leader in the Listings Product team, you will define, build, and shape the future of Airbnb’s Listings product flows, such as intelligent supply onboarding and management. The team is highly collaborative with its partners in design, product, data science, legal, and marketing to deliver features and experiences used by millions of people. We work closely with other engineering teams to ensure we build systems that are performant and configurable with architecture that's scalable and robust.

The Difference You Will Make:

  • Define and execute strategy to dramatically improve the Host Listing Management experience through AI and data capabilities.
  • Set priorities, balance speed and quality, and ensure the engineering team executes against an ambitious roadmap.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and ML/Data teams to take high-impact initiatives from concept to production.
  • Drive the technical foundation and ensure that we’re maintainable and extensible software.
  • Examples of initiatives include features to improve listing accuracy and completeness so guests can book with greater confidence, encouraging hosts to provide richer merchandising content, and transforming our tech stack to enable flexible and dynamic listing management tools.

A Typical Day:

  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of ~8+ engineers and technical leads across mobile native, web frontend, and backend services.
  • This role is highly cross functional so you will partner with senior leadership in Engineering, Product, and Design and across our Business to align stakeholders, define multi-year roadmaps, set and execute on iterative milestones.
  • Collaborate closely with key engineering teams, including Listings Foundation, Calendar, Pricing, Guest Experience, Trust, Infrastructure, and Customer Service Platform.
  • Coaching and developing team members, helping them grow their careers, technical expertise, and collaboration skills.

Your Expertise:

  • 9+ years of industry experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years in engineering management.
  • Track record of strong partnership with design and product leadership, through proactive collaboration, building prototypes, and leadership demos.
  • Expertise in setting 1-2 year technical strategies and roadmaps, aligning vision with diverse executive and technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience leading high-performing, healthy, inclusive and collaborative teams quickly in dynamic, fast-paced domains.
  • Exceptional people management and mentorship skills, with a history of recruiting, developing and retaining top engineering talent.

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
