Senior Developer / DevOps Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer / DevOps Specialist to join a large-scale digital modernization initiative focused on building secure, scalable, cloud-native applications within an agile delivery environment.

This role is ideal for a hands-on senior engineer who thrives in cross-functional teams, enjoys mentoring others, and has strong experience designing and delivering modern web applications and cloud-native services.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain modern cloud-native applications and services

• Build scalable frontend applications using Vue.js, Nuxt, TypeScript, and modern UI frameworks

• Develop backend APIs and services using Python, Flask, Node.js, and REST/OpenAPI standards

• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows

• Work with containerized and microservices-based architectures

• Support DevOps, GitOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, and developers in Agile delivery teams

• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, standups, retrospectives, and technical design sessions

• Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and knowledge transfer to internal teams

• Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, runbooks, and architecture artifacts

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of recent experience in senior software development roles

• Strong experience with modern frontend technologies including:

  • Vue 3

  • Nuxt 3/4

  • TypeScript

  • HTML5

  • Tailwind CSS / modern CSS frameworks

• Strong backend development experience with:

  • Python / Flask

  • Node.js

  • RESTful APIs

  • OpenAPI 3.x

• Experience with:

  • Microservices architecture

  • Containerization

  • GitOps / Infrastructure-as-Code

  • CI/CD pipelines

  • GitHub Actions

• Experience working with cloud platforms such as:

  • OpenShift 4.x

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Strong database experience with PostgreSQL and/or Oracle

• Experience working within Agile/Scrum or SAFe environments

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Experience with Apache Solr in containerized environments

• Experience with OpenShift Private Cloud

• Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems

• Experience mentoring development teams and supporting knowledge transfer initiatives

• Experience in large-scale modernization or enterprise transformation projects
