ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Software Lead Engineer at Accela, your expertise in data, data transformation, and data movement will play a pivotal role in guiding our Data Reporting and Analytics solutions on Azure Cloud, pushing the boundaries of what's possible with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Power BI. You will be part of a world-class Engineering team that specializes in Data. Your role will ensure the design and delivery of high-quality products that harness the potential of multi-cloud infrastructure. Your proficiency in agile software development, coupled with extensive technical knowledge, will be instrumental in propelling our solutions to be robust, adaptable, and securely aligned to deliver substantial business value to our customers.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take ownership of key services and design of complex architectural deliverables in the data, reporting and analytics space.
  • Demonstrate both breadth and depth of knowledge in building data related products and services.
  • Expert with ETL and ELT processes, experience in data preparation, transform and warehousing projects.
  • Proven ability to work with product and business stakeholders to help support creation of highly effective data models.
  • Experience identifying & validating data sources, transformation rules and target data.
  • Ability to work closely with Engineering, data science, product, and cloud operations to help solve problems at scale.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field with at least 6 years of professional development experience as a data engineer.
  • Principal Data Engineer experience is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience Data processing, Azure data processing tools such as Data Factory, Data Bricks, Power BI.
  • Expert in SQL and databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres.
  • Knowledge of Crystal Reporting, SSRS and Izenda reporting solutions.
  • Knowledge of Python and other scripting languages.
