Job Overview:
(The Sr. Producer - Video Production role is responsible for the creation of video content for learning solutions. The position will collaborate with learning leaders, development managers, and trainers to deliver best-in-class video and digital media productions that support and/or deliver learning content. At the core of this role is the goal of maintaining high standards for creativity and quality while delivering robust video content for the purpose of elevating learning experiences across the Verizon enterprise.
The ideal candidate will be dedicated, detail oriented, and flexible to meet substantial production volumes and tight deadlines. They will manage video production schedules and evaluation of effectiveness that address learning/educational challenges. Additionally, they will engage with leaders in different business groups to understand and respond to learning gaps and identify, evaluate and implement media solutions to address business challenges.
Work Schedule:40 Hours in a week | In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate technical expertise in video, audio and post-production; includes familiarity with professional cameras (Blackmagic or similar), various digital video formats and codecs, remote recording tools (like OpenReel), pre-production/planning, location production, audio, lighting, scriptwriting, storyboarding and photography; maintains a broad range of autonomy with decision-making authority.
- Demonstrate creative and artistic acumen in production design and the selection and curation of related stock assets and B roll to enhance video deliverables.
- Establish video production best practices and standards across design approach, production, editing, digital assets and video-related equipment for the global learning technology organization.
- Produce multimedia (audio/video) content for learning courses, promotional/awareness videos for learning, performance support content and other enterprise-wide educational projects; demonstrate broad decision-making skills and use of sound business judgment.
- Deliver post-production digital video editing and video compression for multiple delivery platforms; including proficiency in editing software such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, and the Creative Cloud suite, as well as DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro etc.
- Possess the skills such as talent management (actors) & resource allocation, location/set deadlines and select optimal forms of media for educational projects.
- Collaborate closely with internal clients and stakeholders to help facilitate the creation of multimedia content for learning and performance support. This often requires negotiation on content-scope, definition of required assets and timelines.
- Select additional talent with broad decision-making latitude and require minimal direction from the Associate Director.
- Possess the capability to record and edit video and sound projects, including selecting program format for final output, capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music/voice-over/sfx, media management and archiving project media.
- Establishes and monitors effectiveness measures of final production output.
You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Four or more years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelors in video production, film studies, communications, business or marketing, or equivalent.
- Ability to understand, interpret and explain complex concepts and processes to technical and business leadership.
- Four or more years of video production experience.
- Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, etc.
- Thorough knowledge of the entire media production lifecycle, including pre-production, audio and video recording, lighting, studio environments, editing, content delivery, and cost control.
- Willing to work on US working hours (nightshift) including working on weekends as necessary.
- Willingness to travel.
