What I'm looking for

I’m looking to grow as a safety-focused aquatics and youth training instructor—leading courses, mentoring trainees, and helping programs run smoothly through clear planning, standards, and hands-on teaching.

I’m an aquatics and safety instructor who supports both learners and other trainers. At Oak Bay Recreation Center, I work as a Swimming Instructor Trainer and Lifesaving Instructor Trainer while also teaching First Aid and youth-focused programming.

I consistently teach first aid and youth courses—SFA, EFA, CPR-C, Babysitting, and Stay Safe—while delivering aquatics instruction like swimming lessons, Bronze courses, and Lifesaving. I help teams maintain program standards with flexibility, and I’m responsible for rosters, certifications, inventory, and report cards.

Alongside that, I instruct youth and adults through Department of National Defence - COATS, teaching air cadet classes for ages 12–18 and music lessons throughout the training year. I deliver up to 3 ten-week summer SFA courses per week, complete mentoring and administrative duties, and develop training and music schedules for year-round programming for a local unit of 120 youth.

Previously, at ProSafe Training, I taught Red Cross Babysitting and Stay Safe courses in-person and virtually, supervising classes of up to 30 to ensure all learning objectives are met. I also handle client and facility communication and produce administrative documentation such as reports, injury forms, and rosters—values I carry into every program I support.
