What I'm looking for

I’m excited to apply rigorous quantitative analysis, data validation, and machine learning to real scientific problems—building reliable insights, collaborating closely, and communicating results clearly through documentation and presentations.

I’m a physics graduate with experience managing large datasets, scientific computing, and quantitative data analysis. I’m especially focused on technical documentation, data validation, and consistent, accurate results—so decisions are grounded in trustworthy data.

In my current role as a Research Assistant at the University of California, Santa Cruz, I analyze relationships across kinematic structure, spectral class, flux, and size evolution while cross-referencing astrophysical databases to refine, verify, and update data. I apply statistical methods like the two-sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and machine learning (support vector machines), build decision trees with scikit-learn, investigate outliers, and run data quality checks. I also prepare scientific visualizations, present research progress and findings to the group, and contribute to writing a scientific paper—working with careful attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.

Analyzed relationships between kinematic structure, spectral class, flux, and size evolution to improve classification of blazar types (FSRQ vs BL Lac). Integrated and validated blazar data across astrophysical databases, applied statistical tests and SVM-based machine learning, performed data quality checks, and presented findings to the group.
