Yolanda Salaniponi

I've supported WaterAid Malawi's WASH programmes in Kasungu and Ntchisi schools, health care facilities, and communities, turning programme objectives into practical sanitation, water supply, and hygiene activities.

I work with district councils, government departments, communities, and development partners to strengthen coordinated delivery. My work includes community mobilization, behaviour change, field assessments, hygiene campaigns, and operation and maintenance approaches for long-term WASH services.

I've supported sanitation marketing interventions, sanitation financing through Finccop, borehole drilling, and water systems for health care facilities. I also facilitate Infection Prevention and Control and Life Cycle Costing training to help sustain water-system investments.

Previously, I supported nutrition and public-health initiatives with Blantyre District Health Office and coordinated humanitarian community programmes with Gift of the Givers. I was selected for WaterAid's regional learning exchange in Mozambique and contributed to a winning Predict and Prevent WASH innovation pitch.
