What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a bioinformatics role where I can build reproducible NGS pipelines, apply rigorous statistical analysis, and collaborate closely to turn complex multi-omic and metagenomic data into clear biological insights.

I’m a Bioinformatics Analyst applying reproducible NGS and metagenomic workflows to real biological questions. At Karyosoft Inc., I analyzed 300+ rice phyllosphere metagenomic samples using Bowtie2, Kraken2, and Bracken, and used CLR-transformed genus profiles with PERMANOVA to identify 3 microbial community clusters (p=0.001, ARI=0.79).

I also build robust, end-to-end pipelines—most recently a genotype imputation pipeline with BEAGLE 5.4 on HPC, processing 2.67M SNPs across 5 Arabidopsis chromosomes. I found MAF as the strongest predictor of imputation accuracy, achieving r²=0.913 at MAF 20–50%, and I deploy components on AWS using Docker for reproducible execution.

Earlier, as a Research Assistant at the Luddy School of Informatics and Computing, I built multi-omic seq pipelines integrating HISAT2/STAR alignment, GATK variant calling, QC with FastQC/fastp/MultiQC, and differential expression with DESeq2/edgeR. I’ve complemented this with teaching and communication—serving as a Teaching Assistant (R and Python) and delivering 15+ literature review presentations—while my projects include WNN multimodal single-cell immune heterogeneity work and a Snakemake-based variant calling benchmark where GATK HaplotypeCaller achieved 97.34% F1.
