Yasmine Hamza

I’m a research assistant focused on LC-MS-based protein and small-molecule analyses, bringing careful wet-lab execution and data processing together. In my current role, I perform intact mass analysis and peptide/protein characterization while developing and supporting analytical methods.

I use BioPharma Finder and Chromeleon for LC-MS data processing and reporting, and I’m responsible for instrument calibration, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring for UHPLC-ESI-Orbitrap (Exploris 480). I enjoy turning complex instrumentation workflows into reliable, reproducible results.

Alongside lab work, I build computational pipelines for biology: I created R scripts for statistical analysis of breast cancer microarray datasets and designed PCR primers for coronavirus detection assays. Previously, I also contributed to proteomics and metabolomics workflows using Peptide shaker software and hands-on techniques including protein extraction, in-solution digestion, BCA quantification, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, and Coomassie staining.

I’ve also developed a strong “translator” skillset through client-facing work as an Account Manager / Production Lead, leading briefings and proposals while coordinating cross-functional teams. I use AI tools to support communication, project planning, market research, and presentation development, and I’m currently expanding my credentials through Google Project Management Professional Certificate coursework.
