At the American University in Cairo, I analyzed gut microbiome data for my M.Sc. thesis, identifying 33 BMI-associated species while controlling for study site. I also benchmarked machine-learning models, with XGBoost performing best.
At MTE, I wrote SQL queries to prepare data for business reporting and built Tableau dashboards that turned trends into recommendations for decision-makers.
I contributed biological and computational analysis to a cardiovascular disease research project and co-wrote a machine-learning bioinformatics publication on ovarian cancer detection. I also supported undergraduate Genetics and Molecular and Cell Biology courses as a teaching assistant.
