Yamini J Kumar

I am a legal professional with 4–5 years of hands-on experience in advocacy, legal administration, contract drafting, policy analysis, mediation and negotiation. I have independently managed cases across criminal, corporate, civil and family law and represented clients before Metropolitan Magistrates, Sessions Courts and the Karnataka High Court.

At the Office of R Nagendra Naik, Advocate, I conducted comprehensive legal research, prepared trial documents, negotiated and drafted writs, petitions, gift and sale deeds, and led contract review and redline work for vendor contracts, NDAs and MSAs. I have represented over 100 clients in matters including bail, corruption, disproportionate assets and Lokayukta cases.

Most recently, I served as Assistant Programme Manager (Enforcement & Policing) at Takshashila Institution, where I managed a national research fellowship on policing reforms, led stakeholder engagement, organized high-impact events and produced a podcast featuring senior police officers. I also prepared policy briefs, RTI responses and coordinated fellowship mentorship and progress tracking.

I bring strong written and verbal communication skills in English, practical experience with IPC, CRPC, CPC, Prevention of Corruption Act and Prevention of Money Laundering Act, and a commitment to collaborative, research-driven legal practice. I am currently pursuing opportunities in law, immigration, corporate and related fields.
