Yahor Hurynovich
@yahorhurynovich
Senior front-end engineer building scalable, accessible React applications with performance-first architecture.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Senior Front-End Engineer with 10+ years of experience building scalable, accessible, and maintainable web applications. I focus on front-end architecture, performance optimization, and WCAG 2.1 AA / ADA accessibility compliance, delivering quality experiences end-to-end.
Recently, as the sole front-end developer on a global luxury jewelry e-commerce platform, I refactored and expanded a PatternLab-based design system. I introduced reusable components and SCSS mixins, improved visual consistency, and enhanced build efficiency to reduce load times, while helping shape the roadmap for upgrading to React, TypeScript, and Storybook.
Earlier, I led ADA accessibility work at a U.S. educational publisher, conducting an audit aligned to WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508. I improved accessibility scoring through semantic refactoring, ARIA optimizations, and assistive technology testing—partnering with stakeholders to align compliance updates with business goals.
Across EPAM’s enterprise platforms, I migrated large systems to React and TypeScript component libraries, built modular front-end architecture for real-time inventory experiences, and redesigned booking workflows to improve WCAG compliance while reducing accessibility-related defects by 40%. I also mentor others through internal upskilling and web accessibility training, and I’m currently expanding into Node.js-based backend development and geospatial infrastructure through personal projects.
