Xiomara DeLuke

I’m a veteran Spanish and ESOL teacher with over twenty years of experience, responsible for the direct instruction of Spanish 1 to over 230 students in one school—both virtually and brick and mortar. I engage and encourage students to learn about Spanish and English language and Latin American and American cultures, with a strong focus on exceptional language proficiency in English and Spanish.

Beyond classroom instruction, I’ve served as a Learning Coach and Virtual Educational Leadership Spanish Teacher (Virtual Schools of Excellence), and I lead professional learning initiatives as an ESOL District Inservice Instructor. I’ve also contributed to professional development through roles such as IRFIL Team Captain and District Professional Development Instructor, and I’ve supported collaboration and mentoring through Teachers as Mentors.

My credentials include a Master’s in Spanish/ESOL and World Languages-focused preparation, along with State of Florida and State of Texas Spanish (K-12) certifications. I’m passionate about tailoring instruction, managing workshops for large groups of professionals, and promoting initiatives effectively through cultural sensitivity and bilingual communication.
