Wissam BOUDJAHFA

I’m a Computer Engineer with a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Geographic Information Systems, and I’m currently pursuing a Ph.D. in distributed informatics and networking. My focus is on machine learning and deep learning, especially transformer architectures and sequence-based models for real-world anomaly detection.

In practice, I’ve worked with transformer-based and GRU/LSTM approaches, including autoencoders for identifying abnormal behavior. I also contribute to research on container threats and security mechanisms, including work on unsupervised sequence-based models and evaluation using reconstruction-error and error metrics.

Alongside research, I’ve built strong technical and applied foundations through my experience as a GIS Assistant and as a Teaching Assistant. I created and analyzed geospatial databases, produced 2D/3D maps and 2D plans (using AutoCAD), and supported lab sessions and student projects in core computing subjects.

I’m motivated by advancing research in digital twins, adaptive locomotion, robotics, and granular environments. I bring a hands-on engineering mindset with cloud and container tooling, monitoring, and security awareness to turn research ideas into dependable systems.
