Operations, engineering & facilities leader | 25+ years in regulated manufacturing | Capital planning | Team development | Cost optimization
What I'm looking for
I’m a senior operations, engineering, and facilities leader with 25+ years directing 24/7 regulated manufacturing teams. I’m known as a hands-on, accountable builder of supervisors and cross-functional leaders, aligning day-to-day execution with long-term strategy.
At Abbott Laboratories, I led multi-discipline engineering and facilities operations across four FDA-regulated medical device campuses, directing a 20+ person team and full accountability for capital budgets, vendor contracts, and regulatory compliance. I developed and executed a 5-year capital investment plan (HVAC modernization, power redundancy, and infrastructure resiliency), reestablished the Site Safety Steering Committee, and served as a senior leadership safety liaison to reinforce safety culture across campuses. I also implemented vendor management tools that generated over $800K in documented savings and maintained compliance through structured quality validation steering participation.
Earlier, I rebuilt and scaled production maintenance organizations, implemented IBM Maximo CMMS (with validation and training documentation), and drove preventive maintenance compliance above 95% through formal downtime governance. I bring deep Lean/Six Sigma discipline (including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and FMEA), plus ERP and manufacturing systems experience through PeopleSoft ERP rollout and barcode-based inventory conversion. I’m currently pursuing PMP and strengthening AI-for-operations fundamentals to improve operational scenario evaluation and decision support.
