Williams Sandjaya
@williamssandjaya
Software Engineer at Bina Nusantara building distributed backend services and Kafka migration tools.
What I'm looking for
At SSG 4 Binus Maya Team – IT Division Bina Nusantara, I design, develop, and maintain backend services using REST APIs and event- and message-based patterns. I also created a Migration Service using EventHub for external/vendor APIs.
I implemented Redis Redlock to address racing conditions across concurrent APIs and investigated duplicate and lost events related to Azure Event Hub checkpointing and Azure Functions partition rebalancing.
Previously, as an ApplicationArchitect - Internships at Tech R&D – Apps Team – IT Division Bina Nusantara, I upgraded internal NuGet codebases to .NET 8 and built CLI generators for .NET services. I also migrated Kafka services to a self-hosted Kubernetes environment and refactored Kafka subscribers.
On the Internal Kafka Migration Tools project, I developed a pipeline to migrate Kafka clusters from Zookeeper to KRaft, reducing migration time by 30–40%, depending on cluster size. I’m also developing Besprechung, an open-source video conferencing platform using Go, WebRTC, gRPC, and distributed service architecture.
