Founded Protective Risk Advisory LLC and provides part-time advisory services including physical security assessments, risk evaluations, and compliance-aligned investment frameworks for mid-market organizations.

Directed all physical security operations for Pfizer’s Kalamazoo campus (50-person team, $5M annual budget), overseeing access control, video surveillance, and guard operations. Pioneered the first IMEx security qualification in Pfizer’s global network and improved a $4.4M security capital project scope to save the organization ~$3M.

Redesigned Pfizer’s site Business Resilience System, building programs covering emergency preparedness, crisis management, business continuity, disaster recovery, and pandemic response. Authored the site Crisis Management and Business Continuity Plan and led COVID-19 vaccine project business risk analyses and the phased Return to Site process.

Improved the Public Warning System success rate from 95% to 99.83% across a 300+ square mile emergency planning zone supporting ~25,000 residents in the primary area and 1.2 million in the extended radius. Achieved the highest NRC-graded exercise score with zero findings and conducted emergency planning audits at additional Entergy fleet stations to correct procedure and federal compliance gaps.

Taught college-level courses in Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, and Private Security and helped reinforce subject matter expertise through curriculum and instruction.

Developed and executed a Hostile Action-Based exercise with ~1,000 participants across FEMA, FBI, DHS, U.S. Coast Guard, and other regional organizations, earning the highest NRC evaluation score. Served as Lead Evaluator for the Operations Support Center and provided subject matter expertise on apparent cause analysis, nuclear oversight audits, and 10 CFR 50.54 compliance.

Collaborated with the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) on revisions to NEI 09-07 and presented methodology to senior industry leaders at INPO’s annual conference. Designed the first Security Nuclear Safety Culture Advocate Program at the station and delivered quarterly safety culture trend analyses to site leadership.

Progressed through competitive selections to Field Training Officer, Alarm Station Operator (supervisory), and Sergeant training while directing alarm response operations and security event dispatching. Ensured compliance with NRC and OSHA requirements throughout armed nuclear security response duties.

Conducted security breach investigations and enforced federal aviation security regulations in cooperation with TSA and other law enforcement agencies. Trained National Guard troops deployed post-9/11 during a critical period in U.S. aviation security.

Pursuing the ASIS International Certified Protection Professional (CPP) credential.
